Cheesy herbed pork chop recipes anybody?
I still remember 10 years ago I used to cook no baking pork chop recipes using only the chops, cheese, some spices and sometimes a few veggies such as carrots, peas and potatoes.
This is one of my best recipes ever. My kids were absolutely crazy about it, so I remember I had to cook it two-three times in a row sometimes.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 6-8 center cut pork chops at least 1-inch thick
- Oregano
- Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the garlic and sauté until lightly browned; remove. Brown the chops on both sides. Put chops in a large enough baking dish to have one layer. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon fresh chopped or 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano on each chop. Top with one tablespoon parmesan cheese on each chop. Dissolve pan drippings with 2 tablespoons water and add to baking dish. Cover dish tightly and bake one hour. Serve with Southern Rice.
Serves 6 to 8
