What Do You Think About Renting Designer Bags Versus Buying One, Such As Bag, Borrow, Or Steal?

  • 23 January 2010 2:22 am

They have advertisement everywhere? Are you stupid enought to rent from this company? I dont think it’s great at all. Crooks you might say, giving them hundreds of dollars for something you dont even own. That makes girls think how to get designer bags wholesale. I mean come on you could buy something you like and make 2 designer bags last for a year. Nobody is really impressed if You have 1 or 27 designer bags. they just think your stupid for paying that absurd price. It costs $8 to make a designer bag in a factory( I know for certain doing research), and you’re going to pay $hundreds to rent one a year. it’s plain ignorance. Girls lets not support this.

Thumbs up for hiring handbags, I can always look and feel great without the expense of buying. Im in the UK and the site I use is Voulue. As for going through lots of other womens hands, all my bags are exceptionally clean and the site states they are professionally cleaned.Up to now I have had only NEW handbags. So, Claudia you are not stupid, both of us stay stylish and modern and save money at the same time, so much so I can keep having my expensive holidays even though I am semi retired.

…I think bagborroworsteal.com is a great idea. It’s not the designer’s name that really matters to me, it’s the style and quality. If I fall in love with a bag and it cost a thousand dollars and I have a chance to pay a fraction of that amount so I can wear it for a while and then go on to another bag that I like for a different amount, I’ll spend the money. And I don’t care if other people know that I have a designer bag, as long as I like it, I don’t give a flying rat’s *** what anyone else thinks.
So, yes, I am stupid enough to rent from this company, and yes I will support it.

i agree i think it is so stupid along the lines of leasing a car your paying into something and in return it will get taken from you after a certain amount of time if you want the bag so badly save your money and eventually buy it maybe at an outlet and save yourself some money or by the time you have the money there will be an even cuter bag that youll just have to have
and for the person who talked about the celebrities 9 times out of 10 these stars have the clothes/bags/whatnot on loan to them and they return them to the store after wearing them its free advertisement for both the store and the designer
also remember bags are an investment people car about how you look no matter what anyone says because even the people that say they dont care how you dress judge you for caring its a vicious circle and it will always exist so splurge on that got to have bag and enjoy it for a couple of months and then move onto the next one

I know for certain that there are celebrities (big and small) who need to attend a function and would obviously have to flaunt expensive clothes, bags and shoes. Renting of these expensive designer bags is quite common for them and since its barely anything of the original cost.
However, yes for us girls.. it’s utter waste of money. Might as well spend that rental amount on a non-designer or smaller designer bag that will stay with you longer :) I mean what’s the pleasure in a bag if you don’t own it?!

I know what “site” you are referring to. I personally do not like the idea of “renting” a bag. Why pay all of that money on membership and rental fees for something that is not going to be yours in the first place. Plus, I do not want to pay for a bag that has possibly been in the hands of several women. I’d rather use the money that you would pay for that ludicrous “membership” and rental fees and apply it towards the purchase of a handbag…a new one!!
    GREAT question!
